Following the completion of the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), we prepare students for the transition to Secondary Level education via a structured study approach. In view of the different areas of assessment, our classes feature issue-based discussions and practices so that students can adapt to the new scope of learning.
The Lower Secondary English Tuition Online programme has a 3-step study approach: Language development, knowledge application and class practice. The incorporation of eLearning features, such as live-streamed classes and guided practices, will support every student in their effort to grasp the language well.
The first step to achieve language proficiency starts with Grammar and Vocabulary. Similar to the Primary English Tuition Online, we will deepen the study of these areas through Learning Videos and short practices.
After developing awareness for Grammar and Vocabulary, students will learn to apply them to practices like Editing and Visual Text Comprehension. These practices serve as checkpoints to indicate whether students can apply their concepts well.
Finally, full practices are provided in the form of Continuous Writing, Situational Writing or Comprehension. These question types are introduced to familiarise students with the new format of assessment.
